The Club has confirmed a change to how season ticket upgrades are charged. From 2026/27, upgrading a concession seat to an adult ticket for a single match will cost the difference between the two prices, rather than the full adult matchday price. This is a change we pushed for.
Under the previous arrangement, upgrading a concession season ticket to an adult ticket for one match meant paying the full adult matchday price for that seat. For a supporter who had already paid for the season ticket, that was a steep jump, and it made a one-off upgrade an expensive decision, particularly for families. We put this to the Club as an issue of fairness and consistency with the Ticketing Principles.
From this season and going forward, the upgrade cost will depend on the price band and price class you are upgrading from. You will pay the difference between the relevant concessionary match ticket price and the relevant adult match ticket price for that seat.
In its announcement, the Club noted that its discussions with the FAB included season ticket upgrades, and thanked us for the feedback we provided.
Take a Junior (U18) season ticket holder upgrading to an Adult (22 to 65) ticket for a category B game in the Hammersmith End, block H4. The Junior match ticket price is £36 and the Adult price for the same seat is £61. Under the new arrangement the upgrade costs £25, the difference between the two, rather than the full £61.
We will keep an eye on how this works through the opening months of the season. If the charge you are quoted does not match what has been described, tell us and we will raise it with the Club.
